The standard we build toward

This site and the sites we build for clients are made against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, Level AA. That is a target, not a certificate. No automated checker and no single audit can prove a site fully conforms, so you will not find a compliance badge here — those mostly certify that somebody paid for a badge.

What that meant on this site

Concretely:

• ▪Every text and background pairing checked for contrast, including on the gradient panels and buttons
• ▪A layout that holds together down to small phones without the page scrolling sideways
• ▪Real headings in a sensible order, so anyone navigating by structure can
• ▪Navigation, menus and forms all operable by keyboard, with a focus outline you can actually see
• ▪Form fields with visible labels, not placeholder text doing the job of one
• ▪Alternative text on images that carry meaning, describing what is in them
• ▪The scrolling banner stops for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion

Where it falls short

The estimate and contact forms come from a third-party provider whose code we do not control, so we cannot guarantee every detail of their markup.

More honestly: this site has not been through a formal audit or been tested by someone who relies on a screen reader daily. It has been built carefully against the guidelines and checked by keyboard, which is not the same thing, and we would rather say that than imply more.
