In one paragraph

You tell us things by filling in the form, phoning or emailing. We use them to answer you and to price the job. Nobody buys that information from us, because we do not sell it, and this site does not follow you around the internet afterwards.

What you tell us

Whatever you choose to put in a form, say on the phone or write in an email reaches us. In practice that is usually:

• ▪A name, a phone number and an email address
• ▪The business you run and which service you are asking about
• ▪Some description of the job and what you want to be different afterwards
• ▪Anything else you attach — files, links, the address of your current site

What the site records on its own

Requesting any web page leaves a trace with whoever hosts it. Ours logs the usual: an IP address, the browser and device, which page was asked for and when. That happens because of how the web works, and the host keeps it for running and securing the service.

Beyond that, nothing. There is no analytics package on this site, no advertising or remarketing pixel, no social tracking, and no call-tracking service — the phone number on every page is the real one, not a number that forwards. Nothing here is trying to work out who you are or where else you have been.

If any of that ever changes, this page changes first and says specifically what was added. We would rather tell you before it starts than describe it afterwards.

What we do with it

What you send is used to:

• ▪Reply to you and set up a conversation
• ▪Work out a price and explain the options
• ▪Keep in touch about scheduling and work in progress
• ▪Keep a record of what was agreed and what was delivered
• ▪Meet the tax and record-keeping obligations any business has

How the form gets to us

A third-party form service takes your submission and emails it on. That provider handles the data for us under its own privacy terms. Nothing you type is stored in a database on this website — there is not one.

Who else sees it

It is not sold, rented or traded, and it never goes to advertisers or data brokers. The only times it leaves our hands:

• ▪Anyone brought in to work on your project — a photographer or another specialist — and only what they need to do their part
• ▪The two service providers described above: the website host and the form provider
• ▪Where the law requires it, or where it is genuinely needed to protect someone's rights or safety
• ▪If the business is ever sold or restructured, client records would move with it

Where it physically sits

Our host and our form provider may keep or process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where that country's authorities can reach it under their own laws. If that is a problem for you, phone instead of using the form and none of it applies.

Calls, emails and texts

We use the number or address you gave us, about the thing you contacted us about. Agreeing to be contacted is never a condition of buying anything, and you can tell us to stop whenever you like. If we ever send marketing email, it will carry an unsubscribe link.

Seeing it, fixing it, deleting it

Canadian privacy law lets you ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. We will do it, unless a record has to be kept for legal or tax reasons — in which case we will tell you that is why rather than just declining.

If you are unhappy with how we handled any of this, say so to us first. You can also take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Keeping it safe, and not keeping it forever

We take reasonable care — established providers, and few enough people with access that the number is one. No website or email system is genuinely secure though, so please do not put card numbers or passwords through the form.

Enquiry and project records are kept while they are useful and for as long as the law requires, then deleted.

Under 16s

This site is for adults arranging web design work for a business. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.

If this page changes

The date at the top moves. Anything material gets described rather than quietly swapped in.
